This is one of our best transformations to date. We started with a set of solid oak cabinets, dated yes, but still solid, with tons of life left in them. They had previously been updated with Minwax Polyshades stain, in a dark espresso color. The color, while fashionable several years ago, was now making the large gathering space feel closed in and dark. We chose a warm Soft Chamois for the wall cabinets and a slightly deeper shade on the island. The colors both played off of the colors in the granite, and they gave the space a fresh, new look. And check out the ceiling in the first pic……it’s blue! What a gorgeous shade. It totally made me want to run home and paint all my ceilings blue.
