The homeowners had been living in their home for a year and they’d never been happy with the overly dark kitchen. It got very little natural, direct sunlight, and the dark stain really didn’t help brighten things up. To solve that problem they chose Sherwin Williams shade called Alabaster. It’s a soft white, with just the right amount of beige undertones to help make the space feel warm and inviting.
Distressing the edges really helped add some extra character. We left the island with the original stain, to make it more of a statement!
