This well loved dining set was still highly functional for our homeowner. Our task, to create a more modern look. How did we tackle that? We used 2 different shades of paint. One for the pedestal and one for the tabletop. Then a rich brown glaze was added to the tabletop to create a richer shade. We left the gold on the feet of the pedestal as is!
For the matching corner hutch we painted in the same shade as the pedestal and chairs, to tie everything together.
