The homeowner for this project is an investor. So the strategy was to make the kitchen feel as bright and fresh as possible, and attractive to as many buyers as possible. I think we totally nailed it, because some neighbors wandered in as we were re-installing the doors and they assumed that we were hanging brand new cabinets. They couldn’t believe that these were the original, dated (and dirty!) cabinets. But honestly, with solid oak doors, painting is the way to go. It’s a fraction of the cost of new cabinetry and most new cabinets aren’t solid wood anymore. The paint the owner chose is Cloud Cover.
