Nothing screams dated, more than oak kitchen cabinets with an oak wood floor. Am I right? Not that there’s anything wrong with oak cabinets, LOL. They’re sturdy and can take a beating. But there’s a way to make them feel fresh and new, and in this case the answer was Benjamin Moore Pure White (OC-64) on the wall cabinets and Benjamin Moore Black (2132-10) paint on the island.
This particular shade of white has very slight green undertones so it went perfectly with the glass tile backsplash and helped tie everything together. Adding new black knobs didn’t hurt either! This is a classic look that my homeowner won’t have to worry about looking dated in 5 or 10 years.
