This kitchen had oak cabinets and floors which all blended together. The owners were keeping the existing back splash and counters, so Balboa Mist was the perfect hue of warm grayish white for these cabinets. It has a pale taupe undertone (a touch of beige with a touch of gray).
When trying to work with a dark counter and/or backsplash, as in this kitchen, choosing a softer white helps to keep the contrast from being too stark!
New matte black hardware and bead board (wrapped around the back of the peninsula as well as on the cabinets ends, was added to complete the look.
